DART RESULTS
The winners of the doubles handicap on Saturday were Colm Doran and Johnny Dunne who beat Anthony Power and Mick O’Keeffe in the final. Mixed Individual; John O’Brien, Marie Doran, Joe Murray, Nellie Dunne, Colm Comerford, Colm Doran.
Darts every Saturday at Harneys of Dunhill.
CARD RESULTS
The winners of the handicaps on Wednesday were Eily Hunt, Dec Murphy and Super Sub, also Ted Stokes, Lord Edward Fitzgerald and Martin Harney.
On Friday the winners were David Swift, Alice Power and Mick Mackey also Eily Hunt, Ian Robinson and Super Sub.
LATE PADDY JACK POWER
With sorrow we recall the death of Paddy Jack Power which occurred at Ard na Farrraige Nursing Home following a long illness. A member of the Dunhill Jack Powers, Paddy was steeped in Irish culture. Football, hurling, sport and music, were very important in his life also a love and loyalty to family, and place, which is proudly carried on by those left behind.
His funeral took place to The Church of the Holy Cross, Tramore and he was interred in adjoining cemetery alongside his son Pappy who predeceased him.
We extend sincere sympathy to his wife Margaret, daughter Mary, sons Nick, Pat, Perry, Pidgeon and Charlie, also his sisters Ally Dunne, Westown, Kitty Dunphy, Garrarus, Biddy Burns, Lisduggan, and his brother Ritchy, Dunhill, and all his family and friends. Ar Dheis De Go Raibh Se.
COPPER COAST EASTER FESTIVAL
The Copper Coast in Co Waterford is always great place to take a trip out to, but this Easter Sunday there is an extra special reason to visit it.
In Annestown at the Sea view Celtic the Copper Coast Women’s Initiative are holding their first Easter Festival. The festival will be a great fun day out for the whole family, with various competitions and activities through out the afternoon. There will be prizes for the best Easter bonnet, colouring competitions, face painting and lots more.
Local crafts and decoration will be on display and for sale. There will also be a selection of plants to bring colour to your spring garden. Adults too can take part in the competitions.
So come on out, go for a walk on the beach and drop in to Seaview Centre for afternoon tea, and sample delicious home made cakes and breads.
