A KILLARNEY hostelry will be hitting all the right notes in aid of a worthy cause towards the end of this month. The entire proceeds of a special music session on January 24 at OÆMearaÆs Pub on High Street will go to Our LadyÆs Hospital For Sick Children in Crumlin. Seven bands have pledged to entertain the punters in style on the night, providing their services free of charge.
"Each band will perform for around half an hour," said Pat Duggan of OÆMearaÆs. "All of the profits will go to the Crumlin childrenÆs hospital so we want to raise as much money as possible."
And no-one will go home disappointed since the programme caters for a variety of tastes, with everything from Cajun to trad set to get feet tapping.
